Mnemba is a privately owned island and access to it is only for guests who stay at the &Beyond Mnemba Island facility. However, it is still a must-do excursion due to it’s stunning turquoise waters, vibrant sealife and the chance to sight dolphins.
Swimming with dolphins near Mnemba was a dream come true. Crystal waters and pure magic!

Private, peaceful, and stunningly beautiful — Mnemba Island was paradise on Earth.
Pungume Island
Pungume is an uninhabited island located in the southwest of Unguja and it is arguably the best snorkeling spot of all the known locations. Boats do not anchor on corals, an amazing reef and as an icing to the cake, there is also a beautiful sandbank nearby. As it is our quest to ensure exclusivity while still guaranteeing a wonderful experience, we came up with this premium alternative for the congested “blue safari”.
The sandbank at Pungume was surreal. I felt like I was on my own island!
